Better personal record this time round.

A bit odd though, because I walked with a pair of $12 sneakers. The kind that allows you to still feel the pavement when worn.

Yet I still managed to beat my high school record timing.

I managed to do it in about an hour-and-a-half.

Strange. The jogging and jump-rope exercises must have helped, yet I don’t seem to be losing weight any old how. *wails*

Ah. That’s probably why the journos for The Age and NY Times write so differently compared to those from ST.

Powells.com Interviews – Philip Pullman (2000):

Dave: From what I’ve read, you don’t seem entirely convinced that the proliferation of writing programs is necessarily producing better writers.

Pullman: This is the contradiction I’ve never resolved in my own mind about teaching writing: there are some things you can talk about; other things you can’t. But when you teach writing, you only deal with the things you can talk about, so half of it gets left out. And that half is just as important as the half that gets taught.

Mother informed me that the MP of the constituency came by to inspect the area after That Big Flood.

And that because of the MP coming by, the Residents Committee (RC) held a lunch buffet at the void deck of one of the blocks in the neighborhood.

Strange isn’t it hor? – MP come by so must have lunch buffet.

But it’s okay. I am hoping for more That Big Flood. The bigger the better.

Because MP come by so must have lunch buffet. More events means more free food.

I used to take sandwiches home after school events.

Plus, the government pay already.

That’s why I think the RC here damn useless. Never hold anything; never do anything one. All full of old fogies singing karaoke in the RC room. Must have That Big Flood then have event. That’s like waiting for a crisis to happen. All for show only: Pay and Pay but got no Care and Care.

I spotted a baby kitten in a box with a slice of fish at a void deck today.

Very poor thing. Looked like it was dead or shivering and if the latter, looked like it didn’t even have much energy left to shiver.

Just now mention to mama and mama say cannot bring home. :(

It’s a full black kitten, too. I like black cats. They have an IN-thing elegance that goes beyond mere cats. And they cast sexy silhouettes.
